Brian Hefty appointed as Tax Director of Northern Offshore Ltd

Northern Offshore Ltd. (Oslo Bors: NOF.OL) has announced the appointment of Brian Hefty to the position of Tax Director.

Prior to joining Northern Offshore, Mr. Hefty’s career has included positions in tax planning, accounting and compliance at GlobalSantaFe, Halliburton and Petroleum Geo-Services. Early in his career he spent six years as a Tax Consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Arthur Andersen.

“Brian brings a wealth of talent and international tax experience to Northern Offshore. We are looking forward to his significant contribution as a member of the management team,” commented Michael Dawson, Chief Financial Officer of the Company.

Mr. Hefty holds a BBA in Accounting from Baylor University and is a Certified Public Accountant. Additionally, he is a member of the Tax Executives Institute and the International Tax Forum of Houston.

Northern Offshore Ltd is a Bermuda holding company which operates offshore oil and gas production and drilling vessels deployed around the world. The Company’s recently updated fleet consists of one floating production facility, and five drilling units (a drillship, a semisubmersible and three jackup drilling rigs). The vessels operate in various markets including the North Sea, the Indian Ocean and Southeast Asia.
