Geraghty joins Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis from Mayer Brown

Kirkland & Ellis LLP has announced that Thomas A. Geraghty has joined the Firm as a partner in the Chicago office. He was formerly with Mayer Brown LLP.Mr. Geraghty, 37, will focus his practice on domestic and international corporate tax law. He has extensive experience advising fund sponsors, investment advisors and investors who seek to identify and implement tax-efficient structures worldwide in order to enhance investor returns. Mr. Geraghty has counseled on investments for U.S. and non-U.S. investors across a broad base of asset classes, including real estate, infrastructure, and debt and equities.
