David Anderson, tax litigator, gets partnership at McGrigors
National UK law firm McGrigors is promoting David Anderson, a tax litigation lawyer in London, to the partnership.
David Anderson
David assists clients in disputes involving all taxes, specialising in those which relate to VAT and other indirect taxes and duties, including excise duty, aggregates levy and insurance premium tax. Drawing on substantial experience in these areas, including that gained in both a ‘Big Four’ accountancy practice and in HM Customs and Excise (now HMRC), he advises and represents clients from a wide range of industry sectors on these tax issues, including retail, education, finance, sport and leisure, energy, and social housing. Clients particularly value his specialist technical advice, coupled with his ability to provide pragmatic commercial solutions. He is an experienced advocate in both the courts and tribunals. David is often called upon to provide comment on indirect tax issues for both the broadsheet and professional press, and the tax litigation team of which he is a lead member is accredited ‘BandOne’ in the Contentious Tax Category in the Chambers UK Guide to the Legal Profession.
