Norris McLaughlin & Marcus adds new Tax Partner
Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, P.A. has announced that Thomas N. Torzewski has joined the firm as a Member of the Taxation and Estate Planning & Administration Groups.Torzewski, a resident of Whippany, will focus his practice transactional tax and business planning, comprehensive and sophisticated estate and succession planning, estate and trust administration and litigation, and all phases of tax law. He has extensive experience in the planning and structuring of new and ongoing enterprises, including the formation, purchase and sale of business interests and the orderly reorganization and transfer of said interests to successor generations.
Torzewski is a member of the Business Law, Taxation, and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Sections of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Probate Law Committee of the Morris County Bar Association, is past chairman of the Probate Law Committee of the Essex County Bar Association, and a member of the Estate Planning Council of Northern New Jersey. As a certified public accountant, he is also a member of the American Association of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants.
Torzewski earned an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law in 1986, a J.D., cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1983, and a B.A., cum laude, in Accounting/ Economics from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey in 1979.
