Former Watson Wyatt Head of Tax joins Creaseys
Award winning Chartered Accountants Creaseys LLP has recruited a new Partner, Tim Page, to head the firm’s Private Client Practice. With more than 20 years experience in the profession, Tim will be leading a team of 17 associates at Creaseys. The Private Client practice combines accountants and tax advisers with specialist skills in areas such as personal tax planning, trusts, farming and partnerships.
It was the Tunbridge Wells based firm’s ‘forward-thinking’ values and upstanding reputation that first attracted Tim, following a period of running his own business. He not only brings a wealth of experience to Creaseys but also a fantastic client following.
The Private Client practice is an example of the firm’s progression and success. Recent restructuring has seen the creation of three distinct practices within the firm – Corporate and Business, Tax Consulting and Private Clients. This has enabled skills and experience to be focused to benefit clients both well established and new.
After first qualifying as a Chartered Tax Adviser with KPMG in Kent, Tim moved to London and worked with some of KPMG’s more prestigious clients. After six years with KPMG, Tim joined Watson Wyatt in Reigate and over the following nine years he progressed his career to Tax Partner, managing the tax and corporate finance activity for the firm’s European region. In 2005 Tim acted as the lead tax adviser on a $500m combination between Watson Wyatt’s European and North American operations.
Commenting about his time at Watson Wyatt, Tim said: ‘I gained invaluable experience not only as a tax adviser but as part of the firm’s management and commercial capability. This experience will help me to contribute to the exciting changes that are taking place within Creaseys right now.’
He added: ‘Creaseys has an excellent reputation for its quality of work and is especially well known for its tax expertise. The move has allowed me to position my own clients and skills within a bigger, well established home. This is a very exciting time and I am looking forward to the challenge of being the Head of the Private Client Practice. Although I have plans to expand the practice in the coming years, Creaseys’ philosophy and high quality service will be cornerstones for this growth.’
Creaseys Chief Executive, Emma Roberts added: ‘We are delighted to welcome Tim to Creaseys LLP and are excited about the impact he will have on our clients and the firm.’
The Private Client practice has also benefited from the recent appointment of two new client managers with extensive tax expertise, Ian Ratcliff and Paula Monk.
