Hartman & Craven LLP, a prominent Manhattan-based law firm representing domestic and global clients in various practice areas, has announced new members to its Trusts and Estates practice:

Caryn B. Keppler-Citrin as Partner and Aleena R. Shapiro as Counsel..

Caryn B. Keppler-Citrin brings to Hartman & Craven more than 20 years of experience in all aspects of estate, gift, tax, and business succession planning. Her specialty areas include international estate and tax planning for high net worth individuals; succession planning for small- to mid-sized business owners; contested and uncontested estate administration and litigation; and prenuptial agreements as an integral part of estate planning.

Prior to joining Hartman & Craven, Ms. Keppler-Citrin was of counsel in the trusts and estate practice areas at Salans (formerly Christy & Viener) and Saretsky, Katz, Dranoff & Glass, LLP. Earlier in her career, she served as an associate with Bachner, Tally, Polevoy & Misher and worked as an attorney for the Internal Revenue Service, Department of Treasury, Estates & Gift Tax Division.

Aleena R. Shapiro also brings over 20 years of experience in trust and estates to the firm. Her expertise includes planning, probate, and administration of trusts and estates; tax planning for high net worth individuals and for mid-sized businesses; and succession planning. Ms. Shapiro was previously the founder and managing partner of Shapiro and Wender, LLC. She began her legal career as a tax associate at Willkie Farr & Gallagher and later at Patterson Belknap.
