DLA Piper’s Italian Tax Practice hires former Deloitte tax partner, Maricla Pennesi
DLA Piper has appointed Maricla Pennesi as partner in its Italian Tax practice. Maricla joins DLA Piper from Deloitte, where she was a partner.
Maricla has over 19 years’ experience in domestic and international tax, including restructuring and business planning, transfer pricing issues, M&As, due diligence and tax planning and structuring. Her practice also covers tax assistance to foreign investment funds and tax litigation, supporting a range of large Italian and international businesses.

Maricla holds a degree in business administration from the University of Bologna (1990) and a PhD in international taxation from the Bocconi University in Milan (2008). She also lectures tax for advanced business and administration at the University of Bologna since 2006. Maricla joins DLA Piper on 1 October 2008.
