Jones Day has announced the addition of 15 former Heller Ehrman partners including 2 new tax partners:

– Brett R. Dick and Teresa Maloney join Jones Day’s Tax Practice. Brett Dick is the senior international tax lawyer at Heller. He focuses on international tax, concentrating on transactions involving foreign entities doing business in the United States, including foreign government agencies. Mr. Dick’s expertise is in the structuring of international transactions and tax planning, and therefore includes the taxation of foreign governments and international organizations. He is considered one of the experts in his field and writes and lectures widely. He is the author of the BNA Tax Management Portfolio Publication, U.S. Income Taxation of Foreign Governments, International Organizations and Their Employees. Mr. Dick received his B.A. from University of Michigan, and his J.D. from University of Michigan Law School, cum laude, where he was Editor of the Journal of Law Reform.

Terry Maloney practices in the area of federal income taxation, with particular emphasis on real estate and real-estate related transactions. She has extensive experience structuring large and complex partnerships, REIT investments, and mezzanine and other types of debt instruments. Ms. Maloney received her B.A. from Catholic University of America, Phi Beta Kappa and her J.D. from Cornell Law School, magna cum laude.
