Mehlman gets partnership at Simpson Thacher NY office

Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP announced last week that it has elected five attorneys as members of the Firm effective January 1, 2009. The new partners include tax partner Nancy L. Mehlman.

NANCY L. MEHLMAN is a member of the Firm’s tax department and is based in the New York office. Her practice focuses on tax issues in a broad range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and formations of private equity funds. Ms. Mehlman received an LL.M. in 2002 and her J.D. in 1999 from the New York University School of Law, cum laude, where she was also a Florence Allen Scholar. She received her B.A. from Williams College in 1991. Ms. Mehlman joined the Firm in 1999.
