The appointments took effect from 2 January 2009 for a period of three years and were made following an external recruitment process that was carried out in accordance with Cabinet Office guidance.

Mike Clasper, Chairman of HMRC and Chair of the Board said:

“I am pleased to announce the appointment of four new Non-Executive Directors to the Board of HMRC. This is the next step in strengthening the department’s governance. The Non-Executives bring to the Board a diverse mix of expertise and skills from across both public and private sector.”

These four new Non-Executive directors join two current Non-Executives, John Spence and Mark Haysom.
