Oostvogels Pfister Feyten’s Head of Tax, Frédéric Feyten, gets Managing Partner job
Oostvogels Pfister Feyten today announces that Stef Oostvogels has decided to hand over his duties as Managing Partner to Frédéric Feyten, Senior Partner within the firm’s tax practice. Handing over to a successor has been a proactive decision by Stef Oostvogels and, as is common amongst partnerships, it is intended to bring a new dynamic to the firm and its offering to clients, whilst also building on the progress achieved over the years.
Stef has served in the role of Managing Partner since the firm was established back in 1999. Going forward, he will continue as Senior Partner in the Corporate and M&A practice and will also play a part in client development where he will apply his expertise gained over the years to enhance the firm’s offering further. Frédéric assumes his new positio
Frédéric joined the firm in 2006 from Nauta Dutilh, Luxembourg where he was equity partner, and where he had already assumed various functions as Managing Partner of the firm’s Luxembourg office. He has extensive management and legal experience and his selection as Stef’s successor followed close consultation amongst the firm’s ten partners who selected him for this position. Within his new role, Frédéric will also continue to be responsible for managing the firm’s Tax department.
Stef Oostvogels commented: “This change in management is a natural progression for our firm especially as 2009 officially marks our 10 year anniversary. In line with our entrepreneurial culture and in close consultation with the partnership, we have unanimously agreed on implementing a degree of strategic change to bring a new dimension to our offering to clients. Our ultimate focus is on our clients and to evolve as they evolve and we are confident that Frédéric, working closely with the partnership, is the right person to make that happen. Frédéric brings an extensive range of skills and international experience, and of course, strong business acumen – vital characteristics which we believe will have a positive impact on the ongoing succession of the firm, and importantly, our services to clients.”
Frédéric Feyten added: “I am very excited about this new opportunity. Stef has done an excellent job in taking our firm to new heights in terms of the clients we serve and the geographies we cover. Over the years, I have also gained experience as Managing Partner as well having a large degree of experience with the international markets. I trust these will serve us well as we continue to move forward in further enhancing our offering to clients. On behalf of everyone at the firm, I would like to thank Stef for all the dedication and commitment during his years as Managing Partner. He will serve as an excellent role model.”
