Robert Green joins Skadden to lead global Transfer Pricing service

The international law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP has announced that Robert H. Green is joining the firm’s International Tax practice.
[private] Mr. Green, who will be resident in Skadden’s Washington, D.C. office, will head the firm’s Transfer Pricing and Competent Authority practices worldwide. Mr. Green brings a wealth of experience from both the private and public sectors. He joins Skadden from the law firm of Caplin & Drysdale, where he was a Partner and counseled clients in managing and resolv-
ing tax disputes arising from global, regional and bilateral business transactions. From 2004 to 2006, he was the Director, International for the Internal Revenue Service, where he served as U.S. Competent Authority on cross-border tax issues and treaties. During his tenure at the IRS, Mr. Green was responsible for resolving hundreds of international tax cases, drafting international tax agreements and advising Congress, the Department of the Treasury and other government bodies on international tax issues.

Prior to his government service, Mr. Green was the Director of International Tax (1997-1999) and, later, Director — Taxes/Europe (1999-2004) for The Procter & Gamble Company. As a result of his time with P&G, Mr. Green has extensive experience with transfer pricing issues as well as audit and compliance matters. “We are thrilled to add a lawyer with Bob Green’s background to the International Tax practice,” said Executive Partner Robert C.
