Nick Cronkshaw advises on J.P. Morgan Cazenove and Panmure Gordon share issue

[private]Simmons & Simmons has advised J.P. Morgan Cazenove and Panmure Gordon on the £341.3m share issue by way of placing and open offer and firm placing being undertaken by SIG plc.

SIG plc is a leading supplier of specialist products to the building, construction and related industries.

Simmons & Simmons advised the joint sponsors, joint financial advisers and joint brokers on the transaction. The net proceeds of the fundraising will be used by the Company to reduce its level of indebtedness and to strengthen its balance sheet through the fundraising.

The Simmons & Simmons team was led by corporate partner Chris Horton supported by associates Ian Wood and Amar Madhani. US Securities partner Daniel Winterfeldt, supported by corporate associate Michael Burdei, provided US securities law advice on the fundraising.
