Deloitte UK appoints industry specialist to lead insurance tax team

[private]Deloitte, the business advisory firm, has announced the appointment of Anne Hamilton to lead the insurance tax team. A highly respected authority on insurance tax, Anne provides top level advice to UK and global insurance companies. Anne was previously with PwC where she had been a tax partner since 1991.

Mark FitzPatrick, UK head of insurance at Deloitte, commented:

“Anne is a highly regarded tax advisory expert with extensive experience in the industry and we are delighted to welcome her to the team. Anne will lead our existing team of five tax partners who focus on insurance.

In light of Solvency II we anticipate that there will be considerable restructuring work to make sure that insurance companies’ balance sheets have capacity. Anne’s experience will be invaluable and she is a great addition to our dedicated Solvency II team”.
