Heilborn joins Fulbright’s Trust & Estates Group
Stephanie Heilborn joins Fulbright’s New York office as a partner from Heilborn LLC.

With nearly a decade of experience, Heilborn is particularly skilled in implementing complex tax planning strategies and international tax and estate planning. Additionally, she assists in the formation of and provision of corporate and tax advice to private foundations and other tax-exempt organizations.

Heilborn has helped put estate plans in place for clients with assets of $20 million to $4 billion and has administered estates valued in excess of $500 million. She has advised corporate fiduciaries regarding fiduciary duties and investment of trust and estate assets under the New York Prudent Investor Rule.
Fulbright’s trusts and estates practice handles a wide range of legal matters of interest to private clients involving tax-sensitive estate planning and estate administration, trust administration, charitable gift planning, advice for charitable organizations and related planning and litigation matters. After seven years as an associate at another international firm, Heilborn set out on her own establishing a boutique law firm that provided a full range of estate-planning services for high net-worth clients with assets in excess of $5 million. She has advised many high profile clients, including senior executives at major asset management institutions and hedge funds.
Additionally, Heilborn serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Brooklyn Law School where she teaches a course in Federal Estate and Gift Tax.
Heilborn received her A.B. cum laude from Harvard University, her M.Sc. from The London School of Economics and her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.[/private]
