New CFO at Renault
Dominique Thormann has been named Chief Financial Officer of the Renault group, replacing Thierry Moulonguet, effective from 1 July 2010.
Dominique Thormann, born in 1954, began his career as a credit analyst at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York in 1979, before going on to hold several international positions in Rome, Milan and Paris. He joined Renault Crédit International in 1989 as International Treasurer and took charge of Investor Relations for Renault in 1994. In 1999 he joined Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. in Tokyo as Deputy General Manager, Investor Relations and Financial Strategy. He went on to become Vice President, Global Communications and Investor Relations and then, in 2004, Senior Vice President in charge of Administration and Finance for Nissan Europe, based in Paris. He joined Nissan North America on July 1, 2006 as Senior Vice President in charge of Administration and Finance. He was appointed Chairman of RCI Banque in October 2009.
Dominique Thormann graduated with a BA in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University (USA) in 1975. He is also a graduate of the JHU School of Advanced International Studies in Washington D.C. and obtained a diploma in international relations in Bologna, Italy in 1977.
