Grant Thornton Tax Partner joins WTAS in San Fran
Richard (Dick) Morisky, former Tax Partner at Grant Thornton, recently joined the San Francisco office of WTAS LLC as a Managing Director in the Commercial Services practice.
Dick brings with him seasoned client experience in several commercial client segments including financial services, consumer products and high technology, primarily with closely-held business enterprises. During his time at Grant Thornton, Dick served as the head of the San Francisco tax department and led the Greater Bay Area Financial Services and Real Estate tax practices.
“Dick’s experience brings further depth to our team in San Francisco,” said Frank Cassidy, the Office Managing Director in San Francisco.

Dick earned his Bachelor of Science at the University of California, Berkeley, where he also received a Master of Business Administration. He later completed his Juris Doctorate at the University of San Francisco. Dick has served as the President of the Lafayette School Board and currently serves as a Volunteer Attorney for the San Francisco Bar Association Voluntary Legal Services Program. He is Treasurer and Board Member of the San Francisco Chapter of the NAIOP, a national real estate organization.
