Lamb leaves PwC to lead tax services at Aronson & Company
Aronson & Company (A&C), a top 100 US accounting and consulting firm announced that, effective September 8, 2010, Horace Lamb has joined the firm as the lead Officer in their Tax Group. Lamb, formerly a Managing Director with PricewaterhouseCoopers, brings with him almost three decades of diversified tax and business development experience. His specialties include tax planning and compliance, tax accounting, and tax function operational effectiveness. His clients have included high net worth individuals, technology start-ups, middle market companies, and multinationals.
“While I firmly believe we already have one of the best tax groups in the region, I also know that there is great untapped potential and that a fresh and experienced perspective will allow us to realize our goal of being number one,” remarked Jeffery Capron, A&C’s Managing Officer. “We expect great things from Horace and the entire firm will be very supportive of his vision for the future of this important practice area.”
A&C’s Board of Directors has tasked Lamb with improving the quality and efficiency of services provided to existing clients, attracting new clients, enhancing the group’s service offerings and improving internal processes. Ultimately, he will not only provide management to the group but he will be the architect of the overall concept of A&C’s tax department of the future. With extensive experience in developing and implementing growth strategies, Lamb is well positioned for success.

Lamb earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Virginia Tech and was a member of Beta Alpha Psi, an international honorary organization for accounting, finance and information systems students and professionals. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Tech Department of Accounting and Information Systems Advisory Board.
