Duane Morris Philadelphia Office Adds Estates and Asset Planning Partner Jocelyn Margolin Borowsky
Duane Morris LLP has announced that Jocelyn Margolin Borowsky has joined the firm’s Estates and Asset Planning Practice Group as a partner in its Philadelphia office. Borowsky joins Duane Morris from Richards Layton & Finger in Wilmington, Delaware.
Borowsky focuses her practice on estate planning and estate and trust administration in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey. Her clients include high net worth families, corporate executives and charitable organizations. She works with closely-held family businesses on issues involving strategic tax and business planning and the creation of private family foundations. She also handles tax controversy matters, including estate and gift tax audits by the Internal Revenue Service and state taxing authorities.
Borowsky is a featured speaker and author on estate planning topics, including federal estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax, charitable trusts and life insurance trusts. She is a member of the Delaware Estate Planning Council, and the Professional Advisory Committee of the Jewish Community Foundation of Southern New Jersey.
Borowsky earned her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1992 and her LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law in 1997. She earned her B.A. in 1988 with highest honors from the University of Texas, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa. She is admitted to practice in Delaware, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
