Fiona Jones and Josef Macdonald joins Deloitte’s Tax Management Consulting Group
Deloitte has announced two new senior appointments to its tax management consulting group. Fiona Jones joins as an associate partner from BP and Josef Macdonald as a director from Ernst & Young.
Fiona Jones has 14 years’ experience in the energy, chemicals, utilities and manufacturing sectors, specifically in the field of tax front end systems, indirect tax enterprise resource planning (ERP) and tax knowledge and risk management, gained in various roles, including at BP, ICI and United Utilities. Fiona joins Deloitte from BP where she held a number of senior positions including leading its global tax technology network.
Josef Macdonald joins Deloitte from Ernst & Young where he was the global eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) leader. He has 12 years experience in assurance and advisory services, including 10 years gained in initiating, leading and advising on XBRL projects around the world. Josef formed and led the IASB’s XBRL team and XBRL activities (including IFRS taxonomy development groups) from 2003-2007. He is currently a member of numerous XBRL groups, including the XBRL International Steering Committee, the XBRL UK Steering Group and the IASB’s XBRL Advisory Committee.
