The Global Energy Group hires former EY Inverness Tax Director to join its board

The Global Energy Group has strengthened its board with the appointment of former Ernst & Young tax director James MacDonald as a director.

Originally from the Black Isle, Mr MacDonald worked for Ernst & Young in Inverness for 22 years. In that role he worked closely with international energy industry contracting and service company Global from its formation in 2005.

Global Energy Group chairman Roy MacGregor said: “Over the years as we have grown from a £15 million company to a £200 million company we have highly valued the expert advice and guidance James has given us.

“So we are delighted that he has agreed to join us and bring his experience and expertise to the Global team as we continue to develop the company.”

Also on Global’s board of directors are: Bill Hamilton; Bruce Mair; Iain MacGregor; Donald MacGregor; Alastair Kennedy and Douglas Yule.
