Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP has announce the promotion of 16 attorneys to the partnership, effective January 1, 2011. This list includes 3 new tax partners:

Timothy J. Becker is a partner in our tax practice in New York. Mr. Becker provides tax advice relating to the formation and operation of domestic and offshore private investment funds, including hedge funds and private equity funds.

Ron Grabov-Nardini is a partner in our tax practice in New York. Mr. Grabov-Nardini provides tax planning advice to clients on a wide range of business transactions, focusing on the formation and operation of private investment funds, including hedge funds and private equity funds, as well as financial restructurings and reorganizations.

Jessica M. Westbrook is a partner in our tax practice in New York. Ms. Westbrook represents clients in a variety of corporate transactions, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, private equity and hedge fund investments, and joint ventures and strategic alliances.
