Patrice Couturier (and two other partners) launch Bichot & Associés

Nicolas Bichot, Patrice Couturier, Charles-Noël van den Broek and Mathieu Odet have gone into partnership to create Bichot & Associés, a law firm dedicated to mergers & acquisitions and taxation. Launched on 3 January 2011, the firm is to:
offer high-end services to private equity funds, leading national and international groups, family offices and innovative firms, including their founders and management teams.

Nicolas Bichot, 45 years, is a graduate of Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris (1988) and Paris II University (1989), and had been until now the partner in charge of the Corporate/M&A department of Allen & Overy’s Paris office, a firm in which he served for 11 years and whose establishment in Paris he contributed to in 1999. Prior to this, he was a partner at Gide Loyrette Nouel, where he served for 10 years (including two in its New York’s office). He is a renowned specialist in the fields of mergers & acquisitions and private equity.

Patrice Couturier, 50 years, who holds a Master’s certificate in business law from Paris II Assas University and a Master’s degree in Taxation from Paris IX Dauphine University, has over 20 years experience as a tax expert in Big Four firms (Deloitte in Paris & London and Ernst & Young in Paris) and Magic Circle firms (Slaughter & May then Allen & Overy where he was a partner).

Charles-Noël van den Broek, 33 years, is a graduate of EM-Lyon (2003) and holder of a Master’s degree (2001), and has 6 years experience practising in the Corporate/M&A department of Allen & Overy where he specialised in private equity.

Mathieu Odet, 32 years, is a graduate of the ESCP (2002) and holder of a Master’s degree in business law (2002), and has 8 years experience serving in the Corporate/M&A team of Allen & Overy (since 2004).
