Uwe Eppler to lead tax services at Norton Rose new Hamburg office
Norton Rose has announced that it is opening a new office in Hamburg.
Seven lawyers will join the new Hamburg office as partners from DLA Piper, these are: Klaus von Gierke, corporate finance; Ulf Liebelt-Westphal and Jens Suhrbier, energy; Ludger Verfürth, financial services; Uwe Eppler, tax; Frank Weberndörfer, employment; and Flemming Moos, IT. In addition, energy partner Corrado Wohlwend will join Norton Rose LLP in Frankfurt.

With the announced move, approximately 140 fee-earners, including 34 partners, will work across three offices in Germany – Munich, Frankfurt and Hamburg. Over the past decade, the German practice has established teams in all relevant commercial legal areas and developed capability in Norton Rose Group’s key strengths: financial institutions, energy, infrastructure and commodities, transport, and technology.
