Former EY Tax Partner, Rick Schneider, joins CB&H in Washington
CB&H has announced the addition of Rick Schneider as a Partner with the Firm’s Real Estate and Construction group.
Rick is a Tax Partner in CB&H’s Technology and Life Sciences group. With more than 28 years of experience, he assists companies in the technology, telecommunications, government contracting, real estate, construction, financial services, private equity, and transportation industries with industry-specific tax planning and reporting.
A Certified Public Accountant, Rick focuses his practice on tax planning for S corporations and their owners, complex planning and structuring for mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, joint venture and partnership structuring, multistate reporting, FAS 109 accounting and tax compliance. He also has significant experience aiding troubled companies with loan work-outs and restructuring.
Prior to joining CB&H, Rick was a principle at a major regional accounting firm. He also was a partner with a Big Four firm for 14 years, where he served public and private middle market clients with multistate, international, and transactional taxation needs.
Rick earned his M.S. in Taxation from Golden Gate University and his B.S. in Business Administration from California Polytechnic University. He is active in several professional organizations including the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA), Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA), Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA), American Institute for Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT).
