Former BDO Tax Managing Partner joins Blackman Kallick
Blackman Kallick, LLP, the Chicago-based audit, tax, and consulting firm, has recently added William G. Andreozzi as a Tax Partner.
This move enhances Blackman’s ability to serve the increasingly complex tax needs of its clients. With over 20 years of tax and business experience, Mr. Andreozzi has served the multi-disciplinary tax needs of global and multi-state companies across a variety of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, technology, and private equity. As a JD and CPA, he offers his clients the benefit of his distinct ability to see the whole tax picture, to proactively mitigate risks, and to clearly articulate opportunities.
Most recently, Mr. Andreozzi led the Chicago tax practice at BDO USA, LLP, as Tax Managing Partner. Under his leadership, the office achieved consecutive years of double-digit growth and brought a level of enthusiasm and excitement that created a winning environment. Bill is a well known and highly regarded professional in the industry, making him ideally suited to serve the tax needs of middle-market clients that have international operations or are contemplating global expansion.
“The IRS and state governments have enhanced their enforcement efforts and are conducting record numbers of taxpayer audits,” he explained. “This should not, however, deter good tax planning that considers the global business needs of a company, minimizes worldwide taxes, and maximizes profitability. We can advise our clients on appropriate and sensible tax planning without being aggressive and by mitigating audit risk through careful documentation.”
Steven Schneider, Blackman Kallick’s Managing Partner, said, “We are very excited and honored to have Bill join our team as he shares our passion for providing the best service possible to clients. Bill has spent a substantial portion of his career building a network of relationships and aggressively growing the tax practice at a top-tier firm. Bill combines a love for accounting with a personal approach and a deeply held concern for his clients. Most importantly, he is a talented professional who is an outstanding fit for our organization. I am confident he will quickly become a trusted partner for our clients.”
“I joined Blackman Kallick because of the firm’s tremendous reputation,” Mr. Andreozzi said. “The leadership is strong and proactive, with focused growth plans. The partners are enthusiastic and work directly with clients — an attitude I share. With a culture that fosters hard work, quality, and productivity, Blackman is a great firm for me to continue to grow my practice.”
Mr. Andreozzi holds a Master of Science in Taxation degree from DePaul University, a law degree from The John Marshall Law School, and a Bachelor of Science in Finance degree from Northern Illinois University.
