Former EY Tax Partner, Kenneth T. Zemsky, joins WTAS
Kenneth T. Zemsky, a former Ernst & Young partner, recently joined WTAS New York as a Managing Director in the state and local tax group.
Zemsky has more than 32 years’ experience practising state and local tax and served as the head of the New York metro state and local tax practice. Zemsky’s area of expertise includes multistate corporate and personal income taxes with a focused concentration in New York and New York City tax law. Zemsky primarily works with multistate corporate taxpayers with presence in the tri-state area, high net worth individuals, alternative investment funds and owner operated businesses.
“Ken’s dedication to the practice has afforded him many opportunities for speaking and publishing which has added to his presence and influence in the market,” said Joe Toce, the firm’s office managing director for the New York office.
Zemsky has served on several boards including the New York State and New York City Commissioner Tax Advisory Boards, New York State and New York City Tax Appeals Tribunal Advisory Boards, Interstate Tax Press Board of Advisors and New York State Society of CPAs, Chairman of the State and Local Tax Committee.
Zemsky has also authored numerous articles that were published in the Journal of Multistate Taxation, State Tax Notes and other industry publications. He is a frequent speaker and has spoken at several symposia including: New York University State and Local Tax Institute; Georgetown State and Local Tax Institute; New York State Bar Association Tax Section and New York State Society of CPA’s State Tax Updates.
