Martin Skrip leaves KPMG to join San Francisco office of WTAS

Martin Skrip, a former Tax Partner with KPMG recently joined the San Francisco office of WTAS as a Managing Director in the Commercial Tax Practice.

Skrip has more than 30 years of experience in which he served diversified clientele in the consumer markets, container leasing and technology industries. Skrip’s areas of expertise include corporate tax, accounting for income taxes (ASC 740), analysis and implementation of accounting for uncertain tax positions, mergers and acquisition planning, and IRS practice and procedures.

“Marty not only has an impressive background and extensive breadth of tax knowledge, but his commitment to his work extends beyond the office as well,” said Frank Cassidy, the firm’s Office Managing Director for the San Francisco office.

Marty has presented on corporate tax issues at various professional and trade association conferences, and is affiliated with the AICPA and the California Society of CPAs. Further, he currently serves as a board member for the Orfalea College of Business at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley, a Graduate School of Santa Clara University.
