Maxine Rawlins returns to EY as Tax Partner in the Channel Islands practice

Ernst & Young has appointed Maxine Rawlins as Tax Partner on 31 October 2011.

Maxine, who is based in the Jersey office, brings more than 15 years of international financial services experience in tax, legal, business development and management.

Former CEO of Maples Finance and Partner of Maples and Calder, Maxine has also held senior posts at both Ernst & Young in London and Close Brothers in the Cayman Islands.

Andrew Dann, Managing Partner of Ernst & Young in the Channel Islands said: “we are delighted that Maxine has joined our growing tax practice. Her experience from working in other offshore locations and her expertise in structuring will bring invaluable insights to our clients”.

Maxine becomes the seventh partner in the Channel Islands practice. She will work alongside Graham Parrott, (Head of Tax for the Channel Islands) to continue to develop and enhance Ernst & Young’s client service offering. The Channel Islands are part of EMEIA and one of the 12 countries within the Financial Services (FSO) sub area and Maxine will also assume a broader international tax role within EMEIA FSO.

Maxine is a UK and Cayman Islands Lawyer. Having taken a year’s sabbatical, she moved to Jersey earlier this month with her husband and four children. In addition to charitable work, she enjoys spending time with her family and playing golf.
