Nexia appoint Mike Adams as Tax Director in new strategic role
Nexia has announced the appointment of Mike Adams as Tax Director, a new key position within the organisation. Mike will play a leading role in the global development of tax services provided by Nexia International’s member firms, working closely with its global Tax Committee. His brief will encompass the technical and service standards of tax services provided by member firms throughout the network, as well as exploring ways to enhance cross-border and specialist tax services delivered through the network.
Mike has more than 30 years’ experience of cross-border tax matters within the profession, mostly with ‘Big 4’ firms. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and a Chartered Tax Advisor in the UK. He is a member of one of the main tax technical committees of the ICAEW and has been a media spokesperson for the committee on tax matters.
He says: “I am looking forward immensely to working with Nexia’s client service teams, and tax teams in particular, to demonstrate the power and value of the Nexia International network both for our members and for their clients. The enthusiasm that I have already encountered around the network is phenomenal”.
Kevin Arnold (Executive Director) comments: “Mike’s appointment to this very important new role underlines the importance we attach to the highest quality standards in the tax services our member firms deliver to clients on cross-border engagements. It also reflects one of our central strategic commitments to supporting greater knowledge sharing opportunities and collaboration between Nexia members within the international tax arena. It’s an important move to help keep Nexia at the cutting edge of international tax advice”
