Bishop Fleming announces new management team for acquired Target business, including appointment of Paul Morris as Tax Partner for Bath office
Bishop Fleming has announced new roles for Bath’s Target accounting team.
Having acquired the Bath office of Target Accountants, Bishop Fleming, the accountancy firm with the widest spread of offices throughout the South West, has announced new roles for the Bath office team.
Target Accountants’ Andrew Sandiford has been appointed Partner in Charge of Bishop Fleming’s new Bath office.
Simon Morrison has been appointed as Bishop Fleming’s Audit partner in Bath, with Paul Morris confirmed as the firm’s Tax Partner for the Bath office.
Former Target Associate Directors, Debbie Boulton and Duncan Nicholas, have been confirmed as directors of business services, with Rachel Sestini appointed Director of private client tax services, and Angela Brake appointed as Bishop Fleming’s Head of Payroll Services in Bath.
Having acquired the Bath office of Target Accountants, Bishop Fleming is saving 47 jobs and expanding Bishop Fleming’s office presence still further.
Bath-based Target Chartered Accountants called in insolvency practitioners at PwC to administer the Group’s operations in locations that include London and the Midlands, following a financial crisis created by the failure of its Independent Financial Advisory (IFA) business.
Bishop Fleming, that already had offices in Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Plymouth, Torquay, Truro, and Worcester, agreed the acquisition of Target Accountants’ Bath operations.
Matthew Lee, Managing Partner at Bishop Fleming, said: “We are now working with Target’s former directors and staff to absorb their audit and tax operations, and extend the greater breadth of Bishop Fleming services to their clients.
“Those greater services include nationally-recognised specialists in tax, VAT, international taxation, and key sectors, like charities, academy-schools, care-homes, and the region’s tourism industry”, said Mr Lee.
“Target’s accountancy clients will also see other benefits from this move”, said Matthew Lee.
“Those clients will now retain access to their former Target contacts, but will also gain from the wider range of specialist skills that Bishop Fleming offers, and a wider range of specialist partners”, he added.
Meanwhile, Bishop Fleming is planning a New Year event for Bath office partners, staff, intermediaries, and clients – attended by Bishop Fleming’s key specialists.
