Salans hires Private Equity Tax Lawyer Sabine Walz for Frankfurt office
The international law firm Salans strengthens its Frankfurt office with the addition of a new Counsel.
As of 1 February 2012, Dr. Sabine Walz will join the Private Equity team under Holger Scheer. Dr. Walz is a German lawyer and certified tax advisor. As part of the Frankfurt M&A practice, she will advise in the areas of general corporate as well as national and international transaction tax and corporate law.
Sabine Walz worked in the department of Commercial Law at the University of Tech-nology Ilmenau from 1996 to 1998, specialising in tax law. Subsequently, she began her career as a lawyer at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Frankfurt. After she received her LL.M. from the University of New York, she worked freelance as a corporate counsel for US-American companies in various industries as well as for interna-tional institutional investors in connection with their inbound investments.

The Private Equity team in Frankfurt now encompasses eight lawyers and advises cli-ents such as BayernLB Capital Partner, EQT Expansion Capital, and AXA Private Eq-uity on their corporate transactions.
