Dr Michael Puls joins Luther in Dusseldorf – he moves from Flick Gocke Schaumburg
Dr Michael Puls (39) will join Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH’s Dusseldorf office as a partner on 15 January 2013. Previously, the lawyer and tax advisor worked for the law firm Flick Gocke Schaumburg. He will strengthen Luther’s tax team and, in particular, apply his experience in advising energy supply companies.
“In collaboration with my new colleagues from Luther, I can offer our clients interdisciplinary advice, also in cross-border transactions. This will add value, for example, to M&A procedures, insolvency law and corporate tax law, and – as Luther is a member of a global tax network of high repute – in particular international transactions,” said Dr Michael Puls about his move to Luther. The tax expert has more than ten years’ experience in tax and company law. He advises above all on matters pertaining to international tax law, transfer pricing and international tax structuring, as well as on large-scale and group tax audits.
“I am delighted that we can extend our tax team in Dusseldorf with Dr Puls,” said Ulrich Siegemund, head of Luther’s tax team. “The practice group tax thus follows the strategy pursued by Luther, namely ensuring that we have local contacts for our clients. Another important aspect is Dr Michael Puls’ wealth of experience in dealing with international matters, which is particularly important for our work as a member of Taxand, an international organisation of tax advisory firms.” Luther’s tax team is continuing to develop dynamically with the addition of Dr Michael Puls, after the tax expert Peter Fabry and his team joined Luther’s Munich office in October 2012. Before moving to Luther, Fabry was a director in the tax department of the consultancy firm RölfsPartner.2
