Glen Wei and Patrick Reitbroek join Ryan
To support growing demand across Asia, Glen Wei has joined the Firm to launch the Chinese Tax Solutions Group. Mr. Wei has more than ten years of experience handling a wide variety of Chinese tax matters and foreign investments, assisting United States multinational corporations in establishing and structuring their international operations in China. Prior to joining Ryan, Mr. Wei worked as a tax attorney in China and then as a Tax Director in the China and United States offices of an international accounting and consulting firm with a global network in 138 countries. He has published more than 150 articles on Chinese tax news and analysis, sharing thought leadership and best practices across the global tax community. Mr. Wei is a member of the All China Lawyers Association, Chinese Certified Tax Agents Association, and Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He will be based in Ryan’s San Jose office.
To further extend Ryan’s emerging presence across Europe, Patrick Reitbroek has joined the Firm’s International Tax practice as a Director based in the Amsterdam, Netherlands office. Prior to joining Ryan, Mr. Reitbroek worked for an international full-service law firm, serving clients from 35 offices in the United States, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. While at the law firm, Mr. Reitbroek was a key member of the team led by John Linders and Mark van der Linden, who also recently joined Ryan’s International Tax practice as Principals to lead the Firm’s European Tax Services group. The reunion of these three industry-recognized tax experts within Ryan’s International Tax practice is a significant milestone in the Firm’s initiative to build the leading European tax group capable of delivering the most comprehensive integrated suite of tax services throughout the European Union (EU). Mr. Reitbroek has 15 years of experience as an international tax advisor and attorney at law, specializing in international tax structuring, tax audits, tax litigation, cross-border restructurings, private equity, and tax planning for compensation and benefit plans. He holds a Master of Tax and Civil Law degree from Leiden University in the Netherlands.
