Kevin Cummings moves from BLP to BDO to join the FS Tax team
BDO LLP announced today the appointment of Kevin Cummings as Tax Partner, further enhancing the firm’s financial services tax offering. Kevin will be tasked with helping to lead the firm’s continued growth in banking, capital markets and asset management.
Kevin has over fifteen years experience in advising major financial institutions, funds and multi-nationals on UK and international tax matters. His experience includes structured lending and investment, treasury matters, all forms of financial instrument and derivatives taxation, and traditional and alternative asset management. He has previously been the lead advisor on multi disciplinary, multi-billion dollar trades, working closely with banks, hedge funds, dealers and asset managers.
Kevin qualified as a lawyer with Allen and Overy in 1999, spending almost a decade in the UK tax department, before becoming a tax partner with Berwin Leighton Paisner in 2008. Kevin’s strategic input and market profile is now expected to help BDO expand further its first-rate offering to the financial services sector.
