Peter commented, “Taxation is really a blend of many things including finance and law and it needs a good understanding of business on one side of the coin and the taxing agencies on the other side of the coin. The coin is money but it must be legal money and as taxation is now much more regional and global, it must also be the right currency. I am excited to be joining Baker & McKenzie which I see as a Firm that has been seriously forging its brand name in the tax scene and I believe that this is a place where I can contribute towards that. It has both the experience in advising on local and international tax laws and the global resources needed to provide clients with cross-border tax solutions. This capability is essential to servicing the needs of clients as their businesses grow increasingly international, and particularly important in Asia as tax authorities grow in sophistication.”
