Menzies promotes Andy England to tax partner
Menzies has promoted Andy England, one of its directors, to the role of partner. Andy is a corporate tax specialist who has been with Menzies since 1997 and is based in the Leatherhead office.
Andy’s promotion comes in the wake of increased demand for tax planning work by companies investing in research and innovation. He has extensive expertise in tax planning in the areas of research and development and intellectual property for small and medium-size businesses. In his new role Andy will focus on further developing the firm’s range of tax services for innovative companies.
Richard Godmon, senior tax partner at Menzies, said: “Andy’s new responsibilities are an important part of our strategy to develop the specific areas of taxation that are most relevant to owners of SMEs. Since 2012, we have helped companies identify over £18 million in qualifying R&D expenditure and saved them over £5 million in tax. Andy’s extensive experience will be put to good use developing our tax services for companies that invest in innovation.”
