Jaremi Chilton joins Locke Lord as a partner in the international tax practice
Locke Lord LLP is expanding its International Tax Practice with the addition of Partner Jaremi Chilton. Though he will be based in Houston, Chilton will work across the Firm to assist clients with his strong experience in international tax matters and commercial immigration work.
Chilton, who will be practicing in the Firm’s Corporate Department and Tax Practice Group, has worked extensively in cross-border transactions and foreign investment into the United States, as well as U.S. investments abroad. He has frequently worked with attorneys both within and outside the United States on complex tax transactions and other international matters.
“International tax regulations are a constantly changing and complex area of law,” said Houston Office Managing Partner Ken Simon. “Jaremi’s knowledge will be of great value to our clients.”

He received his J.D. from Santa Clara University in 2001, an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University in 2002 and a B.S. from Brigham Young University in 1998.
Chilton is a past Chair of the Houston Bar Association’s International Law Section, and is a member of the International Tax Forum of Houston, the Houston Bar Association’s Taxation Section, and the American Bar Association’s Taxation and International Law Sections.
