Former Kirkland & Ellis partner, Paul Patrow, joins Thompson Coburn’s tax team
Paul Patrow has joined Thompson Coburn’s tax practice as a partner in the firm’s Chicago office. Formerly a partner at Fox, Swibel, Levin & Carroll LLP, Patrow concentrates on tax aspects of business formations, acquisitions, dispositions and financings. He also counsels clients in connection with partnerships and LLCs, including private equity transactions and domestic and international joint ventures.
Patrow has substantial experience representing private equity and hedge fund sponsors in connection with the formation and operation of investment funds and the acquisition and disposition of investments. Additionally, he advises venture capital investors on the tax implications of their investments in operating companies and operating companies on their funding by venture capital and angel investors.
Patrow also provides tax planning for domestic and international real estate investment transactions and represents companies in connection with tax aspects of bankruptcy and private workouts.
