Appleby promotes Marc Guillaume to Head of its Private Client & Trusts Group in Jersey
The Jersey office of offshore law firm, Appleby, has announced that Marc Guillaume has become the Jersey Head of its Private Client & Trusts Group with effect from 1 April 2014.
Marc has worked as a Jersey Advocate for over 15 years and has been at Appleby since 2009. He takes over from Naomi Rive who recently left Appleby to join Coutts in Jersey as Chief Trust Officer.

Marc’s expertise covers both contentious and non-contentious trust law and his clients include high net worth individuals, their private offices, international private banks and trust companies. He has a wealth of experience, acting for a wide range of settlors and beneficiaries as well as for professional and individual trustees. He also has considerable knowledge in the establishment, operation and restructuring of all types of offshore arrangements for private clients.
He has contributed to a number of publications, He co-authored ‘A Foundation Stone for Continental Investors’, an article written on the then recently introduced Foundations (Jersey) Law 2009, which appeared in the October 2008 edition of The Jersey and Guernsey Law Review, and more recently has contributed articles on the development of case law on foundations and various tax issues to a number of publications including the 2014 Journal of International Tax, Trust and Corporate Planning.
