Gregor Szpin joins Weatherford as Head of UK tax

Weatherford has hired Gregor Szpin as its new UK Head of Tax. He joined the company, based in Aberdeen, in March 2014.

Gregor joins from Hastings Insurance Group (Hastings Direct) where he was Global Head of Tax. Hastings was sold to Goldman Sachs in January 2014.

His tax career began in Poland in 2000, where he worked for 5 years with the Ministry of Finance. He then moved to Deloitte and gained experience in Dubai, London and Warsaw. Since 2008 he has worked in house with financial services institutions in the UK: QBE, BGC Partners and most recently Hastings Group.
