KPMG’s Nick Pheasey to offer tax services from Chester hub
KPMG has announced plans to set up a business hub in the University of Chester’s Riverside Innovation Centre with the aim of supporting and working more closely with companies large and small across Chester and North Wales.
KPMG, which already works with large companies, SMEs and public sector organisations across the Cheshire and North Wales region including Chester Zoo, Chester Racecourse and Moneysupermarket.com, will be the first of the Big 4 firms to have a dedicated presence in the city.
The hub, which opens today, will be led by Chris Fry (office senior partner for KPMG in Liverpool) together with fellow partners Will Baker (audit), David Muir (advisory) and Nick Pheasey (tax – see photo). Will, David and Nick all live in the Chester area.
Chris Fry, office senior partner for KPMG in Liverpool, said: “With initiatives like the One City Plan and Cheshire and Warrington’s ‘Unleashing the Potential’ subregional economic strategy well underway, there’s no doubt that Chester and the surrounding areas are exciting places to be right now. We felt it was very important to obtain a base for ourselves within the walls of the city, where we can really get to know local businesses, assisting them with their plans for sustainable growth.”
