Randy Robason joins new senior leadership team at Grant Thornton US
Grant Thornton LLP has appointed a new Senior Leadership Team following the announcement earlier this month of J. Michael McGuire’s appointment as chief executive officer (CEO)-elect, succeeding Stephen Chipman on Jan. 1, 2015. In order to help facilitate the CEO transition and prepare for the start of the firm’s fiscal year in August, these appointments are effective immediately.
Randy Robason moves into the role of national managing partner of Tax Services. Most recently, Robason served as national managing partner of Grant Thornton’s Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory Services practice and International Tax Services practice as well as a Partnership Board member.
Mr Robason has more than 36 years of diverse business, financial and tax consulting experience, including 26 years in key leadership roles. He has served in key client-service leadership roles for companies ranging from the Fortune 100 to the Carolina Panthers.
Robason previously served as global managing director of Private Wealth Services, where he built and ran a $300 million net revenue, 1,200-person, multinational group offering family wealth planning, investment advisory, and tax and financial services. As a CPA and attorney, Robason has been quoted in publications including The New York Times, American Banker magazine, Dallas Morning News, Fort Worth Telegram and Charlotte Business Journal. He frequently appears on radio and television, speaks often throughout the United States, and writes for industry journals on a wide variety of topics
