Youngster James Badcock succeeds Rosamond McDowell as Head of Tax & Estate Planning at Collyer Bristow
Collyer Bristow has promoted James Badcock to Head of its Tax & Estate Planning teams in both London and Geneva. He replaces Rosamond McDowell, who resigned recently to join Payne Hicks Beach.
James advises on international tax and estate planning and immigration. James’ clients include high net worth individuals and their families, trustees, foreign law firms and banks. He advises clients who are moving to the UK and require advice on immigration and tax and succession, including wills and trusts. As a member of the firm’s International team, James frequently advises clients from a range of jurisdictions including Russia, Egypt and Africa who wish to establish trust structures for succession planning and asset protection. James’ clients also include UK taxpayers who need to regularise their tax affairs, including using the Liechtenstein Disclosure Facility. He also advises trustees on the exercise of their powers, proposed amendments to trust structures and UK tax issues.
Prior to the promotion he was partner in charge of the Geneva office.
