PwC Scotland makes up 2 new tax partners

 In PricewaterhouseCoopers

PwC says it is “gearing for growth” in Scotland with the appointment of seven new partners and plans to take on more than 100 new graduates in the autumn.

The partner promotions include 2 new tax partners:

Susannah Simpson, private business tax (Edinburgh)

Susie is a qualified lawyer and has 13 years experience advising entrepreneurs, high net worth individuals, privately owned companies and management on all aspects of their tax compliance and structuring. Susie’s legal experience means that she is ideally placed to bridge the gap between advising the individuals behind the business and the business itself at every stage of its lifecycle, whether start-up, growth, succession to another generation of family or management or through an exit and beyond.

Willo Renahan, corporate tax (Aberdeen);

Willo is based in Aberdeen providing business and tax advice to Energy, Utilities and Mining, clients. The majority of his time is spent with companies operating in the oil and gas sector as well as mining and windfarms. He joined PwC in 1996 and has worked in the Dublin, London and Sydney offices.

Whilst in Australia, he also worked as Tax Manager for Xstrata Coal, leading their coal tax team, responsible for all taxes faced by the business across their operational territories and countries where Xstrata was expanding.

A significant part of his time is spent advising UK and international energy companies on effective tax rates, as well as managing risk, improving systems and developing global tax strategies.
