Jason Lester is the new UK & Ireland Head of Tax at EY

John Dixon has left EY UK and been replaced by Jason Lester (pictured).

Mr Lester was formerly Head of Business Tax Services and part of a 7 strong tax leadership team for the UK and Ireland. He also has international experience gained with the Firm’s New York office.

Steve Varley is quoted as saying  “Having worked in both our London and regional markets, Jason brings a broad perspective to the role which will be critical in driving our growth plans. He has made his name as one of our strongest partners in the market and, having worked with EY outside of the UK, has developed a strong appreciation of the strength of our global firm.”

Jason adds: “This is a really exciting time to be leading our tax practice, particularly when the firm is growing significantly and has set out bold plans for the future. Key to our growth plans will be continuing to adapt to the evolving needs of our clients. Most of our clients continue to expand globally and we are developing many new client relationships as the attractiveness of the UK tax regime increases the level of investment into the UK. Supporting our clients’ growth ambitions by investing heavily in new partners and our people is a major priority,” he added.
