Grant Thornton US promotes 3 senior tax professionals: Rob Spence, Margery Van Vleet and Bryan Keith
Grant Thornton US has admitted Rob Spence as an International Tax partner in the McLean, Va., office. The firm also promoted Margery Van Vleet to Tax managing director in the McLean office and promoted Bryan Keith to Tax managing director in the Washington, D.C., office.
Spence joined the firm in 2012 and has more than 20 years of tax experience in areas such as deferral, local country tax minimization, intangibles, repatriation, foreign tax credits, post-merger integration, structuring for expansion and disposition, financing and inbound planning. He has experience with U.S. international tax compliance and provision matters, as well as earnings and profits calculations. He has served clients in many industries, including high-tech, services, hospitality, manufacturing and energy.
From 2006 to 2012 Spence worked in industry, initially at The AES Corporation and then in an international tax role with IBM
Van Vleet joined Grant Thornton in 2011 and has more than 20 years of tax and tax software specialty experience, focusing on tax technology implementation and support. She has led the Corptax and CCH Global Integrator Services teams for the firm nationwide and is a certified implementer for various ONESOURCE products.
Keith joined the firm in 2011 and has more than 15 years of experience with major accounting and law firms assisting clients with a wide range of corporate tax matters related to acquisitions and restructurings, dispositions, financings, the preservation of tax net operating losses and the treatment of transaction costs.
