Weightmans hires dual qualified tax partner Hadyn Rogan

UK Law firm Weightmans has expanded its corporate team with the recruitment of Haydn Rogan at Tax Partner. He will split his time between the Manchester and Liverpool offices.

Haydn joined from DWF and before this was head of tax at Cobbetts. He trained as an ACA with PwC in Leeds.

Haydn has regularly been recommended in Legal 500 and Chambers for his corporate tax expertise and has extensive experience in advising management teams, companies, private equity houses and investors on a wide range of corporate and commercial transactions, ranging from mergers, acquisitions, reconstructions and disposals to the structuring of tax efficient joint ventures and investments.??Haydn has particular expertise in advising both private and public companies in relation to employee incentives and share schemes having assisted in the design and implementation of a broad range of incentive arrangements including unapproved and approved share option schemes, Employee Shareholder Status arrangements (also known as “shares for rights”) growth share schemes, phantom options and nil and partly paid shares.

In addition Haydn regularly advises both public and private sector clients on the tax aspects of land and property transactions (from SDLT and VAT to the Construction Industry Scheme and capital allowances), having acted for numerous local authorities, registered social landlords, retailers, developers and private landowners on a wide range of projects ranging from large scale regeneration projects and joint ventures to refurbishment
