EY USA hires four Executive Directors into tax service line (two of whom are alumni)
Allen Plass returns to EY Global Compliance and Reporting practice as an as an Executive Director in the Irvine, CA office. Plass spent most of his 30 years of experience with EY focused on accounting for income taxes, tax planning for business transactions and taxation of multinational organizations. He joined Kieckhafer Schiffer & Company LLP as a Partner in 2012 before returning to EY.
Varun Vig comes to EY from Deloitte Tax LLP where he spent 12 years. Varun joins as an Executive Director in the Financial Services Office specializing in Asset Management and Private Client Services. Varun is based in New York City with a focus on ultra-high net-worth individual, private equity fund and hedge fund space. Varun has a BA (Honors) in Economics from University of Delhi, MA in Economics from University of Kumaon and MS in Accounting from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Varun is a member of the AICPA, Illinois and New York Society of CPAs.
Neelu Mehrotra rejoins EY as an Executive Director in National Tax focused on Quantitative Services in the International Tax practice. Relocating to the Providence, RI office, Mehotra had been a Senior Manager and Tax Account Leader at EY in Boston before joining Kahn Litwin Renza in 2012, where she was a Principal, Director of International Tax and led its regional practice on US international tax issues.
Daniel Robert Mullins joins EY in Washington, DC, as an Executive Director in the Quantitative Economics and Statistics (QUEST) practice in National Tax. Mullins comes to EY from American University where he was a tenured Associate Professor and the Director of the Center for Public Finance Research since 2008. Previously he was an assistant professor at Indiana University. Mullins also conducts in-country advising for the World Bank, most recently for the Republics of Serbia and Croatia.
