Matthew Guthrie promoted to partnership at Mourant Ozannes

Offshore law firm, Mourant Ozannes, has announced the promotion of Matthew Guthrie to group partner, which will take effect from February 2015.

Matthew leads the International Trust & Private Client team in Guernsey, having joined the firm from Taylor Wessing LLP in London in 2011.

He principally advises trust companies, international families and high net worth individuals in relation to asset protection, succession planning and wealth structuring through trusts, foundations and other vehicles. His practice also includes advising on pensions matters and share option schemes.

Matthew holds a degree in history from Cambridge University. He completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course and was admitted as a Solicitor of England and Wales in 2008 (currently non-practising).
